Designing for two directions
Design Persian and English together from the start so you never have to rebuild later.

Sample content
When an interface is designed for English first and translated afterwards, problems appear quickly: arrows point the wrong way, spacing becomes lopsided, and Persian text does not fit layouts that were never made for it.
Logical properties instead of left and right
In CSS we use start and end instead of left and right. One rule then works correctly in both directions.
What should not be mirrored?
- Logos and brand marks
- Numbers and timeline charts
- Symbols that carry no sense of direction
Persian typography
Persian is a connected script, so we never change its letter spacing, and we give it taller line heights than English.
